Meet the Team
Dr. Urvi Ganger
Dr. Urvi Ganger grew up in Columbus, Ohio, and knew from a young age that she wanted to be a dentist. She attended Ohio State University for her undergraduate studies and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Ganger then completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at Ohio State and moved to Chicago.
Throughout dental school, Dr. Ganger was an active member of the American Student Dental Association and advocated for better access to care for all patients. Her primary goal as a dentist is to create happy and healthy smiles with a holistic approach. In other words, she wants to treat the patient as a person and not just a tooth! After graduating from dental school, she has since completed advanced training in dentistry through the University of Chicago’s General Practice Residency. Dr. Ganger is also a member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and Indian Dental Association of Chicago. Even now, Dr. Ganger takes Continuing Education courses to further her knowledge on how to better serve her patients.
On her time off, Dr. Ganger enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. When it’s an Ohio State Game Day, she’ll be sure to cheer on her Buckeyes! Dr. Ganger also enjoys exploring Chicago and traveling whenever she can.
Dr. Urvi Ganger is very excited to meet you and provide the oral care necessary for a beautiful, healthy smile. She is committed to providing safe, quality, and compassionate oral health care and education to patients of all ages. Dr. Ganger is excited to become a part of the community and spread smiles throughout!
Dr. Kapil Vij
Dr. Kapil Vij is originally from India and immigrated to the US at the age of 16. He attended Glenbrook South in Glenview where he graduated cum laude and was awarded first place overall and second place state science olympiad. Dr. Vij was awarded the Roger Adams Scholarship in Chemistry, Distinction in Research, and a Dean's List during his bachelor of science in Biology.
Dr. Vij completed his specialty training of Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics in 2007 at Jacksonville University. He is currently on staff with UIC as Clinical Assistant Professor. Dr. Vij consistently demonstrates thoroughness and keen diagnostic acumen throughout all aspects of dental patient care. He continues his education by teaching residents at the University of Illinois, which keeps him challenged, which he particularly likes.
During dental school, Dr. Vij was the recipient of numerous academic awards. These awards include the prestigious status of distinctive awards such as the Oral Maxillofacial Radiology Award, the American Society of Dentistry for Children Award, and the American Dental Association – Caulk/Dentsply Research Award.
When he is not working, Dr. Vij works out at the gym and plays soccer and tennis.
Dr. Sajni Patel
Dr. Sajni Patel grew up in Orland Park, IL. She graduated from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences and went on to earn her dental degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine.
In dental school, Dr. Patel was an active member of the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, Chicago Dental Society, and Delta Sigma Delta.
Dr. Patel has always loved the city of Chicago and a few years ago made it her new home. She is a compassionate and approachable dentist and firmly believes that communication and education are important when treating patients. She is passionate about forming a strong doctor-patient relationship and values working with precision, efficiency, and integrity. She is looking forward to being part of the community and cannot wait to be your new neighborhood family dentist!
In her free time, Dr. Patel enjoys traveling, attending concerts, exploring Chicago, discovering new restaurants in Chicago, and spending quality time with her family and friends!
